Sudden move.. Al-Ittihad plans to kidnap Al-Nasri star from Al-Hilal teeth

A new conflict may begin in Saudi League Mercato

Al-Ittihad Club are close to dealing a major blow to their arch-rivals Al-Hilal by signing Al-Nasr star in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Earlier media reports revealed that Al-Hilal were close to signing Al-Nasr winger Abdul Rahman Gharib on a free transfer following the official expiry of his contract with Al-Alami.

Saudi newspaper Al-Youm, however, have confirmed that Gharib is close to a move to Al-Ittihad in Mercato next summer, after the latter held serious talks with him to sign him on a free transfer.

Although Gharib did not start for Al-Nasr in the Saudi Roshan League, he was the team’s first-team star in AFC Champions League 2 and was one of the most prominent elements that contributed to their run to the final.

The 29-year-old football player participated in 8 matches with Al-Alami in the Asian Championship, during which he scored 3 goals and 4 assists in 23 matches of the Roche League.

Gharib could return to Jeddah, where he played for Al-Ahly, Al-Ittihad’s arch-rivals, for four years following his promotion to the first team in 2018, before moving to Al-Nasr in 2022.
