The Asian champion is looking to strengthen its ranks in the new season

Saudi club Al-Ahly are in danger of missing out on their first signing of the upcoming summer transfer window following surprise intervention from two clubs in Belgium and France.

Media reports have confirmed that Al-Ahly are close to signing Gambian defender Abu Bakr Sidi Kante from Norwegian club Tromsø in the upcoming summer transfer window following competition from Köln.

However Trusted reporter Santi Ona He reported through his personal account on the “X” website that the Belgian “Brugge” and the French Strasbourg made two late offers to kidnap the young defender.

Ona explained that the Norwegian club have so far preferred the Saudi offer, but Strasbourg and Club Brugge are looking to turn things upside down within 48 hours.

It is noteworthy that Kente (19 years old) is considered one of the most outstanding emerging talents in Norwegian as well as European football, which has recently linked his name with many major European clubs.
