Scotland boss Steve Clarke has refused to be interviewed following his side’s disappointing 3-0 defeat to Brazil on the eve of the 2026 World Cup on Thursday.
Two goals from Vinicius Junior and another from Mateusz Cunha sealed victory for Brazil Which secured his first place in the third group.
Scotland’s World Cup dream is far from over, but conceding three goals could have a very damaging effect on their hopes of reaching the last 32 of the World Cup.
Scotland finished third in their group with three points on a goal difference of -3, knowing that the eight third-placed teams from 12 groups qualify for the next round.
Scotland must now wait for the final matches in all groups to decide their final position at the 2026 World Cup.
Clarke spoke to BBC Sport in a post-match TV interview shortly after the game and was clearly still frustrated by the manner of the defeat.

“We gave them the goals and the match. It’s disappointing.”
When asked how he saw things happening as Scotland waited to learn their fate, Clarke had nothing to say, replying:
Clarke explained earlier in the tournament that he was not a fan of on-pitch post-match interviews immediately after the final whistle.
After the 1-0 defeat to Morocco, Clarke said in a 40-second interview: “I don’t know why we do this.”
