Spygate: Championship playoff final could be delayed by eavesdropping.

The Championship play-off final on Saturday 23 May may not go ahead as the EFL investigates the spygate scandal surrounding Southampton.

The hearing will be held on or before Tuesday, May 19.

Saints have been charged by the EFL with breaking the rules by watching one of Middlesbrough’s training sessions ahead of last Saturday’s semi-final first leg at the Riverside.

Southampton will face Hull City in the play-offs to qualify for next season’s Premier League.
