Spidercam falls on the pitch during the Hungary vs Kazakhstan match at Nagyardey Stadium

A TV camera suspended by a cable fell onto the pitch during Hungary’s friendly match against Kazakhstan at Nagerdey Stadium in Debrecen, forcing a brief pause in play.

Hungarian media reported that the camera went up in smoke midway through the first half when the cable supporting it was damaged by fire.

The camera then plunged from a height of more than 20 meters and landed just inside the touchline near Hungary’s warm-up area, two meters away from a cameraman.

No one was injured and the players took a drinks break in the 26th minute while dealing with the incident.

Hungary beat Kazakhstan 3-1, with Liverpool midfielder Dominik Soboszlai among the scorers.
