Sony’s new fight stick and game monitor in August

Sony is sharing new information about its upcoming gaming-focused devices, including pricing and August launch dates for its FlexStrike stick and its 27-inch monitor.

The FlexStrike fighting stick will be available from August 6 – the same day as the new fighting game published by PlayStation Marvel Tokon: Battle for Souls – and it will cost $199.99. Pre-orders begin on June 12 at 10AM ET. Initially, FlexStrike will only work on PS5, but Sony says that PC support will be released at a later date. The stick will come with a carrying case for the sling and a built-in battery.

Sony explains more about the fight stick in the new movie:

Sony’s new 27-inch PlayStation-style console will be launched on August 27th and will cost $349.99, with pre-orders starting on June 5th at 10AM ET. The monitor has a 2560 x 1440 IPS display with VRR, and Sony says it supports up to 120Hz and PS5 and PS5 Pro up to 240Hz with compatible PCs or Macs. The monitor has a dedicated hook that can pop out from the back of the monitor to provide DualSense control, too – it looks pretty handy.

The company also claims that the Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, announced last Septemberit will begin “at the end of this year.” Sony hasn’t given a price, but says it will have more to share “soon”.
