Liverpool FC are looking to strengthen their attacking line in the upcoming summer transfer market, especially after the departure of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah at the end of last season a few days ago.
Liverpool have placed young Ivorian winger Yann Diomande (19), the star of Leipzig, at the top of their priorities, but face a double crisis over the financial cost of this deal and ending the suffering of one of their players.
In an attempt to reduce the huge financial value demanded by the German club, Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes is looking for ways to lower Leipzig’s valuation of Deomande while discussing a possible swap deal involving Harvey Elliott, according to The Times’ Paul Joyce.
Diomande has raised his profile considerably, scoring 13 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions this season. Its rapid development brought its financial valuation to around 100 million euros

Elliott had previously attracted interest from Leipzig last summer, but no development took place at the time. Now, with the 23-year-old looking to play regularly and take part in the Champions League, the offer to play in Germany has resurfaced as a possible solution to resurrecting a career that was heavily affected by his contract problems following his loan spell at Aston Villa last summer.
The issue relates to the £35m (around €40m) mandatory buyout clause in the contract between Liverpool and Aston Villa, as it is linked to Elliott making 10 Premier League appearances for it to be automatically activated.
As Aston Villa do not want to pay such a sum, in order to save it for other transactions, Elliott has played only 5 matches in the entire league season, and his last appearance in the Premier League was last February. The following month, Elliott played a few minutes against French side Lille in the Europa League.
