Slot refuses to enter "Smooth" Mourinho and “Real”

A game of musical chairs is on..

Holland coach Arne Slott didn’t wait long after being sacked by Liverpool to receive his first offer in the English Premier League, but he decided to turn it down.

The former Reds coach prefers to stay away from the tangled series of changes linking Mourinho, Real Madrid and Benfica.

The Dutch coach, who was sacked following the Reds’ relegation results in his second season, has received a call from Fulham to replace Benfica candidate Marco Silva, talkSPORT reports.

The outlet explained that Fulham had offered Slote the job immediately in an attempt to capitalize on his free presence on the market, but the former Feyenoord and Liverpool manager rejected the idea, preferring to wait before returning.

He noted that Fulham’s management had already started looking at alternatives, with Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna’s name standing out as first choice since he took his side to the Premier League and has an £8m release clause in his contract.

The irony is that Silva’s departure from Fulham is linked to another move in the market, with Jose Mourinho set to leave Benfica in preparation for a possible return to Real Madrid, opening the door for rapid change among European clubs.
