The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has released the full list of individual awards for the 2026 World Cup, revealing the winners of the main awards after the final match.

Spain’s Rodri was awarded the Ballon d’Or by FIFA for the best player of the World Cup, while his compatriot Unai Simon was awarded the Golden Glove as the best goalkeeper, young defender Pau Koupars was awarded the Best Young Player and France’s Kylian Mbappe won the Golden Boot after finishing the tournament with 10 goals.

With the full list of awards released, FIFA announced that Argentina captain Lionel Messi was awarded the Ballon d’Or after leading his country to the finals and scoring eight goals during the tournament.

On the other hand, the bronze ball went to French star Kylian Mbappe, who combined winning the Golden Boot with finishing third in the World Cup’s best player rankings after leading his country to fourth place.

The tournament’s top scorers list witnessed a remarkable paradox after Messi won the Silver Boot with eight goals and England’s Jude Bellingham won the Bronze Boot despite being level with Norway’s Erling Haaland on seven goals each.

Bellingham’s superiority is due to FIFA rules for the top goalscorer award, which state that assists must be counted when players are tied for goals, as the England star has scored one goal during the tournament and Holland has not, leaving the Real Madrid man third in the scoring charts without reference to minutes played.

At the level of fair play, the Dutch national team was crowned with the Fair Play Award in recognition of its disciplined conduct during its journey in the tournament, which was eliminated by the Moroccan national team in the second round.
