Should Jimmy Kimmel be fired for telling a joke?

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has defended his joke that he called first lady Melania Trump a “widow-in-waiting,” days before the shooting incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

After the White House urged network ABC to fire the comedian, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is now ordering an early review of Disney’s broadcast license.

A spokesperson for ABC’s parent company Disney told the BBC that the stations serve the public within FCC guidelines.
