Set Your Phone’s Always On Screen to Always On

How many times Do you think you check your phone every day?

The number is probably much higher than you think. Phones are always within easy reach, giving you access to the world, social media, and messages from friends and family. Even if you’re not overloaded with information, the temptation to skip an app or two is always there.

There are different ways to do this, starting with information tampering keeping space between you and your device. But one easy way to make sure you don’t look at your phone too often and do too much is with a screen lock.

You can fill the lock screen with various notifications and updates that help you see what’s going on and get an overview. You won’t need to unlock your phone again and again, and you won’t be tempted to see multiple apps every time you pick it up. Here’s what you can do for all major phone brands.

Google Pixel phones

Most Android phones now have an always-on display, including the latest Google Pixel models. To change what appears on the screen lock, go to Settings, then select it Show and touchand you will find Always featured either: Click this to access a toggle to enable or disable the feature.

Also on Show and touch menu, you can click Close the screen to fix what appears on the screen when your phone is locked. The main way to notice here is Notifications on the lock screen: Click this to choose how notifications appear on the screen (full or preview) and determine the types of notifications that will appear.

Make sure you see notifications on the lock screen.

For example, you can hide “sensing” from the door, if someone looks at your phone – this only means information from messaging apps, which may include personal information that you want to make sure is not available to other people. (Remember, with the settings always on display, anyone around you can see your lock).

Another option you may want to turn on Close the screen the menu is Text on the lock screen. This allows you to set widgets like the camera shortcut and weather forecast to scroll through the lock screen – saving you the hassle of unlocking your phone and going into specific apps.

Samsung Galaxy phones

On a Samsung Galaxy phone, you can get to the right settings by opening the main Settings window, and selecting it Close the screen with AOD (always visible). First make sure that Always Shown the toggle switch is turned on, then click Now the wound. This lock screen displays information such as game statistics and fitness statistics.

To adjust the information you see here, you need to go back to the Settings page, and select it Notifications > Close screen. Activate it Show informationthen select the type of notification you want: Cards is the best choice, if you want to know more about the lock screen as possible.
