The BBC’s Will Grant Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Monterrey, Mexico has witnessed security preparations.

Robotic dogs patrol the streets around the stadium, while staff in a central command center monitor movement in the city. The Monterey Police Department also has helicopters, 2 Black Hawks and 90 armored vehicles on hand during the race.

Mexico is hosting 13 matches in the World Cup, of which Monterrey is hosting four.
