Scotland: John McGinn troublemaker for Brazil – Thiago Silva

Silva spoke to BBC Scotland while on his license course with the Scottish FA in Edinburgh, a destination he was referred to by Porto president Andre Villas-Boas.

The former Paris Saint-Germain defender now plays for the Villas-Boas club after returning to Europe hoping to fit himself into Ancelotti’s World Cup plans.

Unfortunately for him, it didn’t pay off, with Silva unsure what the future might hold for him.

When asked if he was disappointed for not going to the World Cup, he said, “A little, a little.”

“But it’s normal. It’s a decision, it’s football. So I accept it. So now I have to… focus on the course. It’s good for me. Later, I have to enjoy it with my family.

“(Scotland) is a big 11. It’s a good team, they play well. But, for Brazil, for me, it’s better at the moment.

“But, at this level, you have to wait. Speak first, it doesn’t change anything.”
