If Argentina lose, everyone will start kicking, and if England lose, it will be catastrophic. That’s how the United legend sees it
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes expects “total chaos” in the World Cup semi-final between England and Argentina on Wednesday night, hinting that it will be a very exciting match that will end in seven goals.
The England team won (2-1) over Norway and reached the semi-finals of the World Cup, and Argentina reached the same stage after defeating Switzerland (3-1).
Scholes is not overly impressed with England or Argentina, but he prefers the squad available to Germany manager Thomas Tuchel. About his Argentinian colleague, Lionel Scaloni.
The Manchester United legend believes the semi-final is actually a ’50-50′ affair, but he has backed England to beat Argentina in a seven-goal thriller.
However, Scholes still believes World Cup glory may be out of reach for the Three Lions as he cannot see England beating favorites France if both teams reach Sunday’s final.
In the statements reported by the newspaper, Scholes said.subwayEnglish: “I think that the path of England and Argentina was very similar. “I think the teams didn’t play very well, but they got through the games.”
“I think the most important thing and the biggest advantage for Argentina is that they have done it before and they know how to win these big matches in tournaments. We haven’t proven it yet.”
He continued. “It will be an exciting, even chaotic match. It could end 4-3 for either team and there would be yellow and red cards. If Argentina lose, everyone will be kicking, that’s for sure. Losing to them would be disastrous.”
“I think we can beat Argentina and Spain, but I’m not sure we can beat France. I think we need Spain to beat France (the other semi-final).
“I think our chances in the semi-finals are equal, like flipping a coin. “Argentina may be favorites to win because of their experience, but I prefer our line-up, even with the presence of Lionel Messi.”
“I expect England to win 4-3. There will be total chaos, there will be red cards and everything, everything will get out of hand.”
