Samsung makes some the best OLED monitors out there, and more top sports managers they’re getting a solid Prime Day discount.
The most powerful compact on offer is the Odyssey G6 (G61SH). This 27-inch monitor is one of the industry’s newest displays, offering a 240-Hz refresh rate at a resolution of 2560 x 1440. It’s 36 percent off on Prime Day, it will cost $385 (down from $500). It has sold below its retail price as well a few months ago, but this is the lowest it has ever been.
We tried the old version of the G6 at the end of 2024, but the main difference is the gradual decline of the new model. It was very expensive at the time, however, even with the 360-Hz option dropping to $600 (from $900). Either way, you’re getting a great gaming monitor. In SDR it only goes to 250 nits, but games explode in HDR glory, reaching 1,000 nits.
OLED also gives you faster response times and better gaming clarity in games that traditional IPS can’t compete with.
One of my favorite things about Samsung’s OLED displays is how thin the displays are, giving them a modern aesthetic. The same goes for flat bases, which don’t take up a ton of space on your desk.
Odyssey G5 it is also for salewhich was last updated last year. It shares a lot with the G6, as it is also OLED and has the same concept. The main difference is that the refresh rate drops to 180 Hz. It also uses a different background and representation format. At just $334, it’s a solid deal at $50 cheaper than the G6.
It’s amazing how quickly OLED lighting prices have dropped over the past few years. Advanced technology once reserved for $1,000+ buyers, is now available to more PC gamers. Samsung’s ultra-refined design also makes it a great buy for creatives or anyone looking for a high-quality display to use.
We haven’t tested it ourselves, but Samsung’s ultrawide G75F is great resale for $630which is its lowest price in the last few months. This 49-inch monstrosity is not OLED, but it is curved and has a 180-Hz refresh rate. And finally, the company Price Odyssey G30D is being sold. It’s 1080p, but it drops under $200.
