The rumors didn’t leave much to the imagination, but Samsung has released its 2026 lineup today. There are three models for the first time in Samsung’s eight-year-old family, including the high-end Z Fold 8 Ultra. That phone is the replacement from last year Galaxy Z Fold 7but the Z Fold 8 is new—the first of its kind designed for multitasking media use. And then there’s the new, slimmer phone, plus smartwatch.
You can pre-order Samsung’s new devices today, but the shortage of the segment has made these affordable lines more expensive this year. Even the Z Flip 8 is now much higher, and the Ultra costs almost twice as much.

The Z Fold 8 Ultra has the same design as Samsung’s latest foldables. A 6.5-inch OLED on the outside is almost the same ratio as a smartphone screen. Open it up, and you get an 8-inch display that’s twice as big. This makes the main display almost square.
