Salah returns to action after injury in goal at Aston Villa

The Egyptian star Mohamed Salah returned to the matches between Aston Villa and Liverpool in the 37th round of the English Premier League at Villa Park.

Salah was injured in the 3–1 win over Crystal Palace on 25 April, forcing him to miss the matches against Manchester United and Chelsea.

Salah came on as a 75th-minute substitute for Cody Jacobo and the Egyptian international’s presence proved to be a difficult moment for Liverpool as they went down 3-1 thanks to a brace from Ollie Watkins and a goal from Morgan Rodgers, with Dick Van Virgil scoring the Reds’ only goal.

Salah allayed injury fears just days before the World Cup to bid farewell to Liverpool fans in the final round when the Reds host Brentford, after previously announcing that this season would be his last for the Reds.
