Sacrifice required.. Real Madrid player rejects Saudi Arabia and America

There are no European clubs interested in him

Former Real Madrid defender Austrian David Alaba is undecided about his new destination, given the expiry of his contract with the Royal Club and the lack of agreement on an extension with the management of the Merengue.

Alaba joined Real Madrid from Bayern Munich in 2021 but has been hit hard by a succession of injuries, prompting the Royals to refuse to extend his contract to become a free agent this summer.

The French website Foot Mercato reported that there is no interest from the clubs in the inclusion of the 33-year-old former defender of “Bavaria” Munich, who is preparing to represent his country in the World Cup.

“La Gazzetta dello Sport” newspaper noted thatAlaba was offered to Inter Milan, but the club rejected the dealFirstly, because of the big financial demands, and secondly, because the Lombard club wants to acquire young players.

Other media report that his agent Pini Zahavi also offered him to “Juventus”, but the response of the Italian club was similar.

Alaba seems determined to stay in Europe and is not currently particularly attracted to markets such as Saudi Arabia or the United States.

Alaba will therefore have to make big financial sacrifices, given that he is the third-highest paid player at Real Madrid behind Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, with an annual salary of €22 million.
