Rousey vs Carano: Ronda Rousey stands stone-faced as Gina Carano dances during the finale

Gina Carano danced in front of a stone-faced Ronda Rousey as the pair faced off for the final time before their featherweight bout in Los Angeles on Saturday.

As Rousey displayed her trademark intensity that has helped her become one of the biggest MMA stars in the world, Carano was left frustrated as she danced naked on the spot during a long pause.

Rousey, 39, is fighting for the first time since retiring 10 years ago, while fellow American Carano, 44, enters the bout at the Intuit Dome after not competing in 17 years.

Despite her long absence from the sport, Carano displayed supreme confidence ahead of the bout, which will be the first MMA event to be broadcast live on Netflix.

He weighed 141.4lb (10st 1.4lb), with Rousey clocking 142lb (10st 2lb) on the scales.

Carano added that he had lost 100lb (7st 2lb) in preparation for the bout when his physical and mental health declined. Fired from The Mandalorian in 2021.

“I feel really good if I’m dancing,” Carrano said.

“Live your dreams, don’t give up. That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

“That was the first win, I’ll give you another one tomorrow night.”

The fight, held under the banner of Jake Paul and Nakissa Bidarian’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), will set a new purse record for female fighters. According to Rousey.
