Rotten oranges and chaos… a major organizational scandal shakes the Rabat International Marathon

The Rabat International Marathon, held under the auspices of the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation led by Abdel Salam Ahizoun, has come under fire after a series of organizational irregularities that angered both participants and supporters.

This sporting event was supposed to be an honorable showcase of Moroccan sport, but the chaos and logistical problems that accompanied it made it the focus of controversy on social media platforms.

The “rotten oranges” incident causes outrage

One of the most prominent causes of outrage was the circulation of videos showing the distribution of unfit oranges to runners after the race, which sparked widespread condemnation among participants and the public.

A number of runners considered that the incident damaged their health and the image of Moroccan sports, demanding that those responsible for this negligence be brought to justice.

Complaints about poor organization and services

In addition, many participants expressed their dissatisfaction with the poor organization, pointing to the chaos of the start of the race and the weakness of the guidance and logistics services, which negatively affected the atmosphere of the competition and the results of the runners.
