Ronnie O’Sullivan beats Luca Bresel to win Snooker 900 title

Ronnie O’Sullivan scored five centuries as he beat Luca Bresel 10-5 in the Snooker 900 Global Championship final.

The match was tied 3-3 before seven-time world champion O’Sullivan raced to a 6-3 lead in the final three frames of the afternoon session.

The 50-year-old Bressel – the 2023 world champion – also won the first two frames of the evening to lead 8-3 after O’Sullivan fouled.

Bressell made it 8-5 before O’Sullivan hit a century and won the next frame to secure another tournament win on the back of it. Win the World Senior Snooker Championship last week

Snooker 900 events include a 15-minute (900 second) time limit, a 20-second shot clock and a ball in hand when a foul is conceded.

“I love the format. It hits the sweet spot with snooker,” O’Sullivan told Pluto TV.
