The Portuguese star rules with his judgement
Former Manchester United legend Gary Neville has heaped praise on Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo, insisting he is the best player he has seen at the Red Devils during his time at the club spanning more than four decades.
Neville’s comments come despite a row between the two sides during Ronaldo’s second spell with Manchester United, when the Portuguese star ignored his former team-mate’s handshake during the match, a shot which sparked media and fan interest at the time.
Neville said in the podcast announcements.Rio is dating“I’ve been following Manchester United since 1979 and I’ve never seen a player play football like Cristiano Ronaldo between 2006 and 2009.
“I know people talk about George Best and Duncan Edwards when I say that, but I haven’t watched them play so I can’t compare them.”

The former England defender explained that what Ronaldo did during that period was exceptional by any standards, stressing that he had not seen any other player maintain that high level for three consecutive seasons in a Manchester United shirt.
He continued. “I’ve never seen a player play football like this for three years in a red shirt. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
He continued. “I have never seen a player perform at such a level in a Manchester United shirt for three years in a row. It was magical in every sense of the word.”
Ronaldo is regarded as one of the most iconic Manchester United legends of the modern era, having excelled in his first spell at the English club, winning numerous individual and team championships, before moving to Real Madrid in the summer of 2009.
