Rockstar employees are pushing for a deal ahead of GTA VI’s launch

Employees at Grand Theft Auto VI Rockstar Games has filed a petition seeking voluntary recognition of its union, the IWGB Game Workers Union, according to a press release. The request follows Rockstar firing more than 30 employees last year accused of being a “disruption of contract.”

According to the release, IWGB members have been “organizing” since 2019 and “claim to now represent the majority of workers at all studio locations in Edinburgh, Dundee, Lincoln, Leeds and London.” The agreement expands, “Rockstar has already improved employee conditions including unprecedented pay increases and first-time financial incentives.” The agreement seeks to improve pay transparency, promote “flexible working arrangements,” and improve Rockstar’s ownership structure. already reviewed.
