Rhiannon Roberts column: Wales aim high ahead of Czech Republic Women’s World Cup qualifier

A 1-1 draw was definitely not the result we wanted.

Travel is no excuse. It was a disappointing result and disappointing to concede so late in the game.

But we always felt that this team was going to go down to the wire and we are still in the same position, with everything to play for in the last game, so we have to focus on that.

Credit to Montenegro, they were really tough and hard to break down.

We’ve been that team in the past – sitting deep and trying to stop our opponents.

Now we have a bit more strength and depth in the squad and we are the ones trying to break teams down.

We sometimes find it difficult. We knew Montenegro would be tough – we got the same thing in Albania, where we did well for a win.

We had a meeting on Saturday, an analysis was done montenegro sport, And picked some areas where we can improve for Tuesday.

Now we are looking forward to the fight against the Czech Republic.

We are playing in Cardiff where we enjoy the big pitch – which suits us.

We have the quality and athleticism to play on big pitches and we always tend to perform at home in front of a Welsh crowd.

I just think being back around our home, back in the valley with our amenities, all our family here and the Red Wall behind us – we enjoy them.
