After the Belgian star left training…what happened?
Belgium winger Jeremy Doku has returned to training a day after leaving training early in preparation for next Monday’s World Cup opener against Egypt.
“Manchester City” player Doku has been exposed The 24-year-old suffered breathing problems during closed training last Tuesday, according to Belgian newspaper HLN.
Before the end of the training, Doku entered the closed gym of the Seattle Sounders club, one of the American League clubs, as a preventive measure, according to the report.
Doku fully participated in the open part of the training for journalists on Wednesday.
His Belgium team-mate Alexis Salemakers said he believed the national team’s coaching staff was capable of keeping Doku fit for the tournament.
He added: “When Jeremy leaves the field, it is logical that there will be questions immediately. But it’s not serious.”
The Belgian national team is in the seventh group of the World Cup and begins its journey against Egypt, then faces Iran, and ends its journey in the group stage with a game against New Zealand.
