Resolving the elephant crisis before the battle with Germany

The Ivory Coast Football Federation announced on Thursday evening the resolution of the player Eli Wahi crisis ahead of the match against Germany.

Next Saturday, the “Elephants” team will meet their German counterpart in the second round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.

Cote d’Ivoire began their World Cup campaign with a decisive win over Ecuador with a clean sheet, while Germany beat Curaçao 7-1.

The Ivory Coast national team’s account on website X stated that Eli Wahi had received all necessary permits to enter Canadian territory.
