Record deal. “Manchester City” officially announces the inclusion of the star of the England national team

Manchester City announced today, Thursday, the completion of a special deal involving the England international, who is currently participating in the 2026 World Cup in America, Canada and Mexico.

England progressed to the last eight yesterday, Wednesday, after a hard-fought 2-1 win over the Democratic Republic of Congo.

“Manchester City” issued an official statement, which says: “Manchester City” and “Nottingham Forest” have agreed on the transfer of player Elliott Anderson.

He continued. “Anderson, who is 23 years old, is currently participating in the FIFA World Cup with England. He has successfully passed his medical in Kansas and the formalities of the transfer deal will be completed upon his return to England.”

He concluded. “In the meantime, everyone at Manchester City wishes Elliott and the England team all the best at the World Cup and we look forward to welcoming him back to Manchester in due course.”

The club did not disclose the length of the contract or the value of the deal, but previous reports have confirmed that an agreement has been reached for a deal worth £130m.

A few days ago, BBC reported that Anderson’s move to Manchester City will become the most expensive in the history of English football.

He continued. “The value of Anderson’s deal will surpass the previous England record, which was last summer’s £125 million transfer of Newcastle striker Alexander Isak to Liverpool.
