Real Madrid make an official offer for the Bundesliga star… and receive an initial rejection

Jose Mourinho is racing against time to strengthen his attack

A press release has revealed new developments in the race to sign German Leipzig star Ousmane Diomande in the current summer transfer window, with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain battling it out for his services.

Fabrizio Romano, an Italian journalist specializing in the transfer market, announced today, Friday, that Real Madrid made an official offer to Leipzig this week worth 100 million euros.

Merengue has offered €90 million as a fixed sum, in addition to €10 million in incentives and variables.

Romano added that Leipzig management rejected the offer because they insist on receiving more than 100 million euros to agree to the sale of the 19-year-old Ivorian winger, noting that talks between the two clubs are still ongoing in an attempt to reach an agreement.

He noted that “Paris Saint-Germain” is still actively present in the race to sign a contract with the player, as it has been negotiating with “Leipzig” for several weeks, but the two sides have not yet reached a final agreement on the deal.

Leipzig also earlier refused to let Diomande to Liverpool for 100 million euros, while the German newspaper “Bild” reported yesterday, Thursday, that the Ivorian has already reached an agreement with “Paris Saint-Germain” on a contract extension until 2031, but “PSG” has not yet made an official offer to his club.
