Real Madrid has signed a new contract with a penalty clause

The Royal Club continues to operate in the Mercato

Real Madrid made a new signing in the summer transfer window to bolster their ranks in preparation for next season after going trophyless in the last two seasons.

In recent days, many media reports stated that Real Madrid have agreed with Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate to join the Royals after the end of his contract with the Reds.

European Mercato expert Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on Tuesday that Real Madrid have signed a new deal to sign Inter Milan right-back Dutchman Denzel Dumfries.

“The deal has been agreed and the Dutch right-back has joined Real Madrid from Inter Milan and the Spanish club will pay a €20m release clause.

“Dumfries have accepted Real Madrid’s offer and the deal has been completed this evening and formal procedures will follow.”

Real Madrid’s signing of Dumfries comes after…Jose Mourinho, the most popular candidate to lead Real Madrid last season, gave the green light to complete the deal.

It is noteworthy that Real Madrid wanted to strengthen the right-back position after the departure of captain Dani Carvajal at the end of last season.
