Real Madrid announced on Monday that they have signed Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella on a long-term contract.
It was a contract CocurellaHe has an extension with Chelsea until 2029, but has agreed to move to Real Madrid on a long-term contract until 2032.
Cucurella was linked with a move back to Barcelona this summer before Real swooped in on a deal and quick-fixes in his favour.
After Real Madrid announced the end of the deal, accusations of betrayal began to dog the 27-year-old Cucurella, a graduate of the La Masia academy.
Accusations of cheating are likely nothing new for Cucurella, who began his career in Espanyol’s youth academy.
The first betrayal started when in 2012, Cucurella decided to betray “Espanyol” and move to his neighbor “Barcelona”.
Cucurella rose to the ranks of “Barca”, until he went out on loan to “Eibar” in the summer of 2018, then returned to the Catalan team again.
As for the second betrayal, it happened in the summer of 2026, when Cucurella decided to play for Real Madrid, Barcelona’s traditional rival.
