Tommy Fleetwood is looking for his PGA Tour win in nearly a year at the RBC Canadian Open at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley.
The Englishman sits two shots behind youngster Ben James, a former US collegiate making his professional debut who is the clubhouse leader in a field with plenty of star power.
The likes of Brooks Koepka, Shane Lowry and Robert McIntyre all stayed close for the weekend, with defending champion Ryan Fox also in the mix.
Fleetwood will aim to exorcise the ghosts of the same tournament he lost in a playoff three years ago, when home favorite Nick Taylor sealed victory with a stunning 72-foot eagle putt on the fourth extra hole.

Koepka also sits a few shots back, behind a group of five players that includes Sam Barnes, who played in the final group at the Memorial last week and finished fourth.
“I feel really close,” Koepka said when asked if he was getting back to his best after leaving LIV Golf in December.
“The ball striking probably hasn’t been what I’d say it’s been all year. Driving it as well, maybe not as great this week. The putting has been great. So I’m happy with that, I’m excited, and hopefully that continues this week.”
Fellow Americans Jackson Suber and Keith Mitchell, Sweden’s Jesper Svensson and China’s Haotong Lio sit outside the lead.
Ireland’s Lowry is still looking for his first win of the PGA Tour season and sits in a tie for 19th, four shots off the leader, with Scotland’s McIntyre, who moved to four under to move to six-under par for the day.
But everyone should catch James, who is making his 10th PGA Tour start and his first as a professional golfer.

He started with an eagle on the par-five first when he drained a putt from 22 feet and continued from there, going bogey-free on the Osprey Valley course to shoot a second-round 63 and go into the weekend without a bogey in the final 33 holes.
James offered a disarmingly honest response when asked how he’ll sleep and what his mindset will be over the weekend.
“I have no clue because I’ve never been in this position, so I’m excited to find out,” he said. “One thing I wanted to do was, like, let’s try and get in that last group.
“I just want to feel what it feels like and see what happens out there in that situation.
“I’m just thrilled to be so young. I don’t have any expectations. I’m going to play my best like the last two days.”
