Rangers have completed the signing of Cammy Devlin after the midfielder left Hearts.
The Australian has signed a two-year deal with the option of a further year at Ibrox, where he will link up with former Hearts boss Derek McInnes.
The 28-year-old impressed under McInnes at Tynecastle; However, his five-year stay at the Edinburgh club came to an end when he failed to agree a new contract.
Devlin made over 150 appearances for Hearts and was a key figure as the Edinburgh club recorded their highest ever Scottish Premiership points haul last season, as they won the title away to Celtic on the final day.
Former Hearts captain Laurence Shankland also left Hearts earlier this summer to join McInnes at Rangers.
Speaking to Rangers’ official channels about the move, Devlin said: “It feels amazing. I’m obviously very happy to get it over the line; with the gaffer coming in and a lot of changes happening at the club, it seems like a great time to be here.
“It’s just an absolute honor and privilege; I’ve been very aware, having been in Scotland for some time now, of the size of the club and what comes with playing at such a big football club.
“It feels pretty special to call myself a Rangers player and I can’t wait to get started.”
McInnes added: “Cammy is obviously a player that I know, and I know very well what he will offer Rangers.
“For me his consistency levels have been fantastic and he’s a player every manager wants in his team.
“He is someone who knows the Scottish League, and nothing will surprise him with what lies ahead. I look forward to welcoming Cammy to Rangers and working with him again when he returns from his holiday.”
Rangers are in talks for other midfielders, including Tromso’s Jens Hjarto-Dahl and Partizan Belgrade captain Vanja Dragojevic.
They have made five additions so far this summer, with Ross McCrory, Ivan Pandur, Ben Godfrey, Dan Neill and Shankland joining.
