Frenchman Corentin Mouette almost lost his Queen’s Award after he was fined $40,000 (£30,325) for swearing seven times during a live BBC television interview.
The 27-year-old was handed the ATP Tour’s biggest unsportsmanlike conduct ban at the west London club – but he has appealed the fine.
Moutet was awarded £32,800 for reaching the second round of the ATP 500 event.
The world number 36 swore repeatedly in an on-court interview following Tuesday’s first-round win over compatriot Giovanni Mpetschi Pericard.
Moute then lost to Spain’s Alejandro Davidovic Fokina in the last 16 on Thursday.
Shortly after the interview, Moutet wrote on Instagram that he was “just joking” and hoped people “don’t get mad.”
