An incredible night began with Gerwin Price forcing Littler to show why he is the world number one in the first semi-final.
After coming off the platform for a 6-4 lead, Littler looked home and dunked before putting three more legs on the board.
But the price response has been great. The Welshman won five legs in a row – with three 100+ checks – to take the match to the final leg.
Littler dominated with 180 before landing a double 16 to seal his place in a third Premier League final.
While he was able to relax backstage for the final, defending champion Humphries and 2021 winner Jonny Clayton engaged in their own titanic clash in the second semi-final.
After a confident opening, Humphries went into the break 6-4 up but, like his Welsh compatriot Price Clayton, he did not go down without a fight.
With a check rate of 28%, Humphries faced defeat, but a stunning 121 finish forced another deciding leg to settle the score.
That was also full of drama as Humphries and Clayton each exchanged a missed match dart, before ‘Cool Hand’ set up a shot at Littler and the chance to get back.
