When does the 2026/27 Premier League season start?
The 2026/27 season is due to start Saturday 22 August.
This is a week after the 25/26 season, to help players recover after the 2026 World Cup.
The opening day of August 22 is 89 days after the end of the 25/26 campaign and 33 days after July 19 World Cup final.
When does the 2026/27 Premier League season end?
The Premier League has confirmed that the final match round will be played May 30, 2027 Sunday.
All 10 fixtures will start at the same time and will be shown live Sky Sports.
That date is 5 June 2027, a week before the Champions League final.
When will the 26/27 premier league games end?

In previous seasons, the inaugural game has been held on the Friday of opening weekend, but the final schedule and telecast selections will be announced in due course.
What will be the Christmas schedule?
The 26/27 season will feature 33 weekend and five midweek match rounds, although the full schedule will be confirmed in due course.
Last season only one Premier League game was available for live broadcast on Boxing Day but this year December 26 falls on a Saturday so fans can expect a busy slate of top-flight matches this time around.
The Premier League said that during the Christmas and New Year period, there would be no two match rounds within 60 hours “to cope with the congested Christmas and New Year schedule within the extended international calendar”.
How many games will be live on Sky Sports?
Just like in the bumper 25/26 season, Sky Sports A minimum of 215 live Premier League matches will be shown as part of the current A four-year TV deal.
