Scottie Scheffler is the pre-tournament favorite to defend his title and register a fifth major title in as many seasons, with the world number one looking to produce an impressive opening round.

Scheffler starts on Friday at 8.40am local time (1.40am UK time) with Matt Fitzpatrick – chasing a fourth win of the season – and former major champion Justin Rose, the world number one on pole for the first back-to-back wins since Brooks Koepka.
