Groupings and tee times from the second round of the 108th PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
Scottie Scheffler is the pre-tournament favorite to defend his title and register a fifth major title in as many seasons, with the world number one looking to produce an impressive opening round.
Scheffler starts on Friday at 8.40am local time (1.40am UK time) with Matt Fitzpatrick – chasing a fourth win of the season – and former major champion Justin Rose, the world number one on pole for the first back-to-back wins since Brooks Koepka.
McIlroy is in the bottom half of the early draw and faces a fight to avoid the cut after finishing his opening round 74 with four consecutive bogeys, a month after winning The Masters.
Bryson DeChambeau — runner-up the last two years at the PGA Championship — also needed a much-improved second round to avoid back-to-back major cuts, carding a 6-over 76 on Thursday.
