I like that the ReMarkable Paper Pure keeps the wide bezel, which pricier Paper Pro and Paper Pro Mov they don’t have. It’s a great place to rest my thumb and start typing, and it’s responsive, so you can use it comfortably whether you’re right-handed or left-handed (the pen only connects to the long side without a thick bezel, though, which is a problem for left-handed users). It has a fast response time and smooth writing that, like ReMarkable models before it, feels like paper with texture and resistance without making it feel slow or light to write on. ReMarkable says that his notes from Paper Pro were brought to the device, and the pair felt like they were writing. Apart from the pen-to-tablet experience, however, the use of these two devices feels very different from the weight and size difference, especially when you hold the device to write.

I don’t mind that ReMarkable Paper Pure jumped on the screen, especially since ReMarkable has two other tools that offer one. I’m disappointed that it doesn’t have a front light, but during the day, the Paper Pure screen looks bright because it’s designed to be brighter and whiter than before to look like paper. ReMarkable is said to be the cleanest on the market, and compared to its line it is a good improvement. However, the lack of a front light can be a problem if you can use this in a dark classroom or similar environment.
Paper Pure’s main selling point for the ReMarkable range, as well as the older ReMarkable 2, is battery life. These devices typically have a battery life of two weeks, but ReMarkable says the Paper Pure will last three weeks. Battery life isn’t as much as you’d expect Secretary of Charitybut it’s a good change.

There are some new features of the ReMarkable software that are coming along with Paper Pure. It doesn’t just come down to this device, since ReMarkable tools are on the same platform, so any popular device you have or get should include this. There are two new features: calendar integration, and editing and sharing.
