OpenAI is teasing new tools… for Codex


OpenAI is releasing a new version of its AI-powered writing tool, Codex, on July 15th. In video sent to X On Monday, OpenAI showed off a square-shaped device with a few buttons, along with the caption, “Your favorite Codex shortcuts are being uploaded.”

This is not surprising OpenAI powered by AI It is working with former Apple developer Jony Ive, however. As seen in the teaser, OpenAI is launching this device in partnership with Work Louder, a company that sells mechanical keyboards and macro pads with programmable keys, dials, and switches.

The silhouette of the device shown by OpenAI is slightly visible such as Work Louder’s Creator Micro 2A macro pad that comes with 13 mechanical switches, a recording slider, and a touch sensor. Users can assign their own shortcuts and actions to the tool settings when using different programs, such as Photoshop. Picture he similarly collaborated with Work Louder setting up a macro pad with pre-programmed shortcuts.

Neither OpenAI nor Work Louder have shared details about their upcoming partnership, but with launch only two weeks away, we won’t have to wait long to find out.
