Cote d’Ivoire joined the ranks of African teams to beat France in history with a 2-1 win in a friendly at La Beaujolais Stadium in Nantes, France, as part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup finals.

Ivory Coast’s goals came from Gila Douy in the 53rd minute and Amad Diallo in the 84th minute after Ryan Chergy had put France ahead in the 45th minute.
