On Running LightSpray Cloudmonster 3 Hyper Review:

Pa Cloudboom Strike LSThe company’s first iteration of these amazing pump shoes, quickly became my favorite running shoes. They became my go-to running shoes, and I rode many miles in them, even running several marathons. (I didn’t break any records, but thanks for asking.)

I have been using the new version since it came out in February. The Cloudmonster’s legs feel great to run around in, even though they look smaller than the Cloudboom models. The benefits of the spray box are immediately apparent. It makes the shoe much lighter (190 grams) than other On shoes. Plus, a bioplastic membrane that adjusts to a smooth but snug fit around your feet means there’s no need to worry about the laces changing when you run.

The wide leaves can make a wonderful impression at first. Standard shoes usually have a smidge of room in the toebox so your digits can move a little. The LightSpray casing molds to your feet, so there’s no escaping touching your toes. It takes a little getting used to. (You’ll definitely want to wear socks.) When you’re running, the grip is stable, meaning the shoe box doesn’t shake your feet as you go. After a while, it started to feel like a natural extension of my feet.

The Cloudmonster’s legs are a little smaller than the other Ons, but they still put a nice spring in your step. This also works well on the ground, so it can move under water or in places where there is dirt or sand.

There may be some regularities. At one point I hit a wall and I could feel how far my foot was going compared to a regular shoe box. I didn’t roll my knee or anything, but I made a mental note to be extra careful running in this.

You can buy them now, but supplies are still limited, and not all models are available. On Running said it has expanded its manufacturing operations in South Korea for its LightSpray products in particular, and expects to sell them without problems later this year.

They will still cost you money, however. The shoes are $280, down from the previous price of $330. It may go down again in the future if it ramps up production, chances are you will have to wait.

If, like me, you find yourself ending up changing the shoe’s tongue or tying the laces more often than you’d like, these classic shoes could be a great choice.
