Oleksandr Usyk Relinquishes Belts But Won’t Retire

World heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has said he will retire all of his belts, but he is not retiring.

The 39-year-old, who has an unbeaten professional record of 25 wins, held the WBA ‘Super’, WBC and IBF belts.

“I am sure that this well-thought-out decision will open up new opportunities for me. This is not the end of the story. The continuation is ahead,” he said on X.

He added in the video message: “I want to release all the belts I currently hold to make them available to the people lining up to fight for them.”

“My friends, I will leave the belts but I will not leave the sport because I still have the last dance.”
