Manchester United have officially released their list of players leaving their ranks, confirming in an official statement on their website on Wednesday afternoon that they have sent it to the English Premier League.
Jadon Sancho will leave Manchester United as a free agent at the end of June for 85 million euros ($99.98 million), five years after his transfer, the club has confirmed.
Sancho was one of Manchester United’s most high-profile signings in the summer of 2021, alongside Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Sancho joined the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund after playing in the German league (Bundesliga) since the age of seventeen.
But things didn’t work out for Sancho at Old Trafford, with the English winger managing just 12 goals and six assists in 83 games.
The 26-year-old returned to Dortmund on loan in the second half of the 2023-24 season and played in that year’s Champions League final, which the German side lost to Real Madrid.

He had two loan spells at Chelsea and Aston Villa, where he recently won the Conference League with the London club and the Europa League with the Villans.
Sancho is one of six players confirmed to leave Manchester United this summer, alongside Casemiro and Tyrell Malassi from the first team and three players from the academy, Sonny Al-Jaffari, James Bailey and Malachi Sharp.
Sancho is likely to return to Dortmund for a third time as he looks to get his career back on track, with the club’s sporting director Lars Rieken previously saying they were “exploring” the benefits of signing him.
On the other hand, the club only mentioned the name of Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana in the team’s player list and said: “All players on the retained players list published by the English Premier League are still under contract.”
United are waiting to discuss any suitable offer for Onana, who spent last season on loan at Turkish club Trabzonspor, while several clubs are reported to be interested in his services, including his former club Inter Milan.
