Officially… the French defender has moved to Qatar’s second division

After leaving the Qatari club, where he played only 11 matches, French defender Presnel Kimpembe (30 years old) found a new club, but in the second division.

The former Paris Saint-Germain defender will remain in the Gulf region, signing an official contract with Qatar’s second division club Al Kharaitiyat.

The Qatari club announced their contract with Kimpembe in an official statement, which read: “Our club officially announces the one-season signing of French defender Presnel Kimpembe from Qatar Sports Club for next season.”

Kimpembe joined Qatar Sports Club in September 2025 from French club Paris Saint-Germain and played with the team in the Qatar League last season.

Kimpembe played for Saint-Germain from 2014 to 2025 and was also part of the France national team that won the 2018 World Cup.
