“Dean” tries to fix the situation in the new season
Al-Ittihad announced the departure of a foreign international, making him the first to leave in the upcoming summer transfer window.
“Al-Ittihad” club has published a statement on its official page of the “X” website, in which it informs about the departure of its Colombian striker Ricardo Carballo next summer.
The Saudi club explained that Carballo will move to Bosnian side “Sarajevo” after agreeing to sell the remainder of his contract.
Carballo joined Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2024, coming from Colombia’s Barranquilla for 452,000 euros, Transfermarkt reported, but he did not participate in any matches with the team.
Soon after his arrival in Jeddah, the Colombian striker was loaned out to Jeddah for a season before his loan was extended to Al-Anwar last season.
Carballo performed well for Al-Anwar last season, scoring 10 goals and two assists in 31 appearances, after scoring just four goals in 23 appearances for the Jeddah club.
Saudi journalist Majid Hood had previously stated that the Bosnian club would sign the 22-year-old for less than half the price they paid Al-Ittihad two years ago.
