Will Egypt’s relegation from the league be canceled again?
Ismaili Club issued an official statement today, Thursday, rejecting relegation, insisting on continuing in the Egyptian Premier League.
Ismaili’s relegation was officially confirmed last Tuesday after a 2-1 loss to Wadi Degla in the tenth round of the relegation playoffs.
After this defeat, Ismaili’s score dropped to fourteenth and last place in the standings with 19 points.
The statement says:
To the fans and fans of the Ismaili club.
1- The committee makes every effort to ensure that the club continues in the Premier League and we support the fans’ aspiration and commitment to this right, which is an inherent right for all fan clubs that are vulnerable to relegation.
2- There are no systematic and ongoing conversations or campaigns that only aim to destroy this ancient club.
3- The Commission has not rejected investment or partnership in a football company, but in accordance with the control and transparency that guarantees all the rights of the club, especially the historical license to which the club will participate, which is registered with the Football Association and the International Federation.
4- We clearly know and understand that the final opinion on these issues belongs to the Extraordinary General Assembly, and it is its inherent right.
5- The committee will continue its work for the club and will maintain its capacity, hand in hand with all supporters and enthusiasts, until a decision is made to dismiss it or to elect a new board of directors.
The Ismail Club, God willing, will remain as long as the believers remain.
Ismaili have just 3 matches left, knowing that they are 11 points behind tenth placed Kahraba Ismailia (the first to escape relegation), meaning that catching up with them is impossible.
