Nvidia has retired its GeForce Control Panel after 20 years

Nvidia announced more than two years ago that it is working on replacing its Control Panel software on Windows with the new Nvidia software. After sending a variety of features to Nvidia’s software, Nvidia is announcing today that it is deprecating the Control Panel.

“With the launch of our latest update to the Nvidia App, all Nvidia Control Panel support for GeForce users has been upgraded to a new client.” says Nvidia. “After 20 years of dedicated service, the legacy Nvidia Control Panel is retiring Game Ready and Studio Drivers. For Nvidia RTX PRO users, Nvidia Control Panel will continue to be supported until we migrate to Nvidia software.”

The Nvidia Control Panel software will remain on people’s PCs until the driver is installed. However, if you want the Control Panel app it will still be in the Microsoft Store, but it won’t be getting updates or fixes.

Nvidia has put many important features in the Control Panel for Nvidia software last yearand has become a full-time program that can download and install drivers, manage game settings, and change various DLSS modes.

Nvidia also released a New Game Ready driver todaydecorated in its time of introduction 007 The Greatest Light. The latest 610.47 driver includes support for Lego Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.
