So it will be really quite fast. Zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) takes 2.6 seconds. Zero to 125 mph (200 km/h) is just 6.8 seconds. Don’t expect Veyron-rivaling top speed, but Audi says it will do more than 217 mph (350 km/h, assuming you have somewhere to try these kinds of top speeds.
The powertrain combines three 148 hp (110 kW) electric axial fluxes – two for the front wheels and one for the rear axle – and a 788 hp (588 kW) V8, which can rev up to 10,000 rpm even with turbochargers. The lithium-ion traction battery has a capacity of 7.3 kWh, but if it is offered as a Temerario, only half of that is available for driving.
Audi is sporting its new Formula 1 team by introducing the Nuvolari. We’re told that its F1 drivers “provide focused feedback” during the car’s development and that it has a low-profile and low-profile rear wing. Audi says the brakes are also F1-style, though they’re still carbon-ceramic discs instead of the carbon-carbon type used by race cars (which may be less suitable for road use).
Audi has claimed its speed record many times before. This is Rosemeyer’s idea from 2016.

The Avus ring was a pre-war circuit made up of two sections of autobahn connected by hairpins. This is the Audi Avus concept, from 1991.

Instead of aluminum, the bodywork is carbon fiber, a first for Audi on a production car. Because this is not just an idea, they are committed to building 499 Nuvolaris, starting in the first half of next year.
