The Argentinian star continues Lionel Messi Describing the specifics of his return to Barcelona, especially as he is currently in the final decade of his professional career with Inter Miami, which ends in December 2028.
According to Spanish publication Sport, Messi is expected to return to his home in the municipality of Casteldefels in the Bais Llobregat region after his retirement from football, where he spent his entire history with Barcelona.
It has been revealed that the Argentina captain has already started preparing for this return through a series of investments he has made in recent weeks, starting with the purchase of advanced equipment for his personal gym to equip the training area, followed by the acquisition of Cornellà Football Club, one of the most popular youth and youth football clubs in the Catalan region.
The move to buy the club, which is located next to the RCDE stadium and operates in the fifth division, comes for strategic reasons stemming from Messi’s desire to have a sports team in the greater Barcelona area, and is a project through which Bulga aims to maintain its close connection with the world of football.
In a related context, Messi has acquired the Wagner shopping malls located next to Toro Park in Barcelona, and the Santomera Bay office of Alejandro Alcaraz, as the selling party, confirmed that the deal was completed through Edificio Rostaur, a company owned by the Argentine star, through which he also manages the S, indor hotel chain.
The value of the real estate transaction was 11.5 million euros, as the project aims to carry out complex rehabilitation of the facilities and turn them into an office complex for rent. Wagner is considered an iconic shopping area in the history of Barcelona, since it opened on November 15, 1985 as a concept that combined traditional shops and large malls, until it closed its doors forever in 1993 due to disagreements between the owners.
Messi is currently in the process of obtaining the city licenses needed to begin work on the facility, which is expected within a year. The project will be led by Jordi Artigas of OUA Group and Alejandro Fernandez of Studio Fez, former employees of Messi’s private hotel chain.
