The Saudi Arabian team may have a meeting with a new coach
Media reports revealed that the Saudi Arabian Football Association was close to agreeing a new coach to lead the first team in the coming period, replacing Greek Giorgos Donis, before the resignation of its president, Yasser Al-Meshal.

Saudi journalist Ratiba Al-Dosari said that Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic was the most popular candidate to lead Saudi Arabia after Donis before Yasser Al-Mashal announced his resignation.
Al-Dossari explained through his personal account on the “X” website that the Saudi Arabian Federation has already contacted Dalic and met with him remotely to discuss the issue of assuming his position in the near future.
The Saudi journalist noted that the deal could be disrupted after Yasser Al-Meshal steps down, especially in light of the UAE Football Association’s desire to sign him to lead the first team in the coming period.

After the farewell to the World Cup, the name of the Saudi Arabian national team is connected with several coaches, the most notable of whom is the Portuguese Jorge Jesus, who left the training of the “Al Nasr” club after the end of the last season.
Dalic has been in charge of Croatia since 2017, where he led them to second place in the 2018 World Cup and third place in the 2022 World Cup. He is also set to face Portugal in the 2026 Round of 32 in the early hours of Friday.
Notably, the Croatian coach has experience in Saudi Arabian football, having coached Al-Faisal between 2010 and 2012 before moving on to coach Al-Hilal’s under-23 side and from there the first team in 2013.
