North Wales Crusaders lost record 134-0 to London Broncos

The North Wales Crusaders suffered the heaviest defeat of any team in the top two divisions in the 131-year history of rugby league.

They were thrashed 134–0 by London Broncos, conceding 25 tries at Stadium CSM in Colwyn Bay.

For the third time this season the Crusaders have conceded 100 points in the Championship, including a 106-18 loss to the Broncos in London.

Sunday’s defeat was just 10 points short of rugby league’s biggest ever defeat, when York Knights beat North Wales Raiders 144-0 in League One in 2018.

The Broncos’ Emerly Bitungen opened the scoring in the first minute, with center Brandon Webster-Mansfield leading the way with five goals.

The London side topped the Championship table with 14 wins from 14.

The Crusaders – who have lost 11 of their 14 games – are bottom at -6 points, a 12-point deficit after bankruptcy and an ownership change earlier in the season.
